JOBS .A COLLECTIVE EFFORT.

 Lack of jobs and unemployed youth have become a political slogan, more to benefit narrow, parochial interests of political parties and news material for media. Their concern does , not  benefit the   youth on the street. To my mind an unemployed is a product of an inefficient system. The system should have provided, employability upgrade, &thereafter deployment of the trained human resource.

Apart from upgrade equally important is bringing attitudinal change in society, wherein accepting renumeration for hard work is a norm and not employment without accountabilities (Govt Jobs).At the same times society respects a person engage in honest work.  With rapid growth in growth of new smart cities and tier 2 &3 cities, the gig jobs (limited education and limited experience)will increase at very fast rate. I feel the local administration should be tasked to improve employability in terms of attitude and skills. Quality being monitored by independent assessor designated by central /state authorities Un -under employment is a national problem and needs to be tackled at all levels with upper most priority. 

Media could have played part in attitudinal change among job less youth.  The mission does not part of their priorities. During the election tours no media rep carrying mikes rep suggested youth on this aspect of upgrade. and become more relevant with employability skills. Can the journalists be more proactive in trying to create inputs to provide solutions. 

Whether they are, workable or not is another issue. Let us realize that jobs fulfillment is not only Centre problem but nations problem. States with political representatives should be part of task force to upgrade and deploy resources within the state and for external sources. The responsibility should be of upgrade and deployment should be responsibility of state industrial department. The success/failure should be monitored.
